Bone and Bread

Beena and Sadhana are sisters whose unique bond is shaped by their traumatic childhood and the loss of their parents, growing up under the care of their Sikh uncle in Montreal's Hasidic Mile End. As they approach adulthood, their lives take contrasting directions, with Beena facing unexpected teenage motherhood and Sadhana struggling with perfectionism and anorexia. Following Sadhana's sudden and mysterious death, Beena is left grappling with guilt and a desire to uncover the truth behind her sister's passing, a journey that threatens to disrupt her carefully constructed life.
