Jordan Erichsohn believes his boss, Judge Crawford, is involved in something corrupt and feels trapped, fearing that no one, especially the dashing deputy Pierre Ravelle, will take him seriously. When Jordan finally reveals his suspicions to Pierre, he finds an unexpected ally and a growing emotional connection.
