At 34, Gilly Brown is recovering from a broken engagement and finding herself alone in London while her friends settle down. To start anew, she takes a friend's advice and finds a Monday-to-Friday lodger, the charismatic television producer Jack Baker. As Gilly becomes entangled in Jack's glamorous world, her dog walking group introduces her to the skeptical Guy, who questions Jack's true intentions. As Gilly's relationship with Jack deepens, Guy's concerns grow, leaving Gilly to wonder if Jack is truly as perfect as he seems.
