The Miracle Detective

In a dilapidated trailer in northeastern Oregon, a young woman experiences a vision of the Virgin Mary, prompting an official investigation by the Catholic diocese amid local skepticism. Investigative journalist Randall Sullivan embarks on a journey to uncover how such inquiries are conducted, interviewing theologians and historians, referred to as "miracle detectives." His quest takes him from the Vatican to Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and to Scottsdale, Arizona, as he explores claims of miraculous sightings and the distinctions between genuine and false revelations over the course of an eight-year investigation.
