The Blade This Time

A man awakens in the abandoned subway stations of New York City with no memory of his identity, discovering only blood-stained cash and playing cards in his pocket. After moving above ground into a cheap apartment previously inhabited by the enigmatic artist Max Leider, he becomes captivated by Leider’s abandoned belongings, particularly a series of haunting paintings of a woman behind a curtain. As he adopts Leider's clothing and artistic style, he begins to unravel unsettling truths about both the artist and himself.
