City of Books

Inspired by the temporary closure of Powell's Books, City of Books follows Jo Waterstone, a devoted bookseller at Bruebaker's Books, as she faces the abrupt threat of her beloved store's closure after the owner suffers a stroke. With Mr. Bruebaker's daughters and a cold CEO pushing for shutdown, Jo defies orders and barricades herself inside the store with a few dedicated colleagues, hoping to buy time for her boss to recover. As Jo reflects on her life amidst the stacks, she must confront her choices and determine what is truly worth fighting for.
