Long Overdue at the Lakeside Library

In the heart of Wisconsin winter, librarian Rain Wilmot finds solace in her cozy log cabin and beloved Lofty Pines library, until a local man's suspicious death shatters her tranquility. Wallace Benson is discovered dead in an ice shanty during the Ice Fishing Jamboree, and Rain remembers his recent visit to the library for cookbooks. As her friend Nick becomes the prime suspect due to circumstantial evidence, Rain, alongside her friends Julia and Jace, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth and clear Nick's name, all while putting herself in the path of a potential killer.
