The Doctor

Set against the backdrop of ongoing conflict in southern Sudan, this story follows Dr. Tom Catena, the sole surgeon at the Mother of Mercy hospital in the Nuba Mountains, where war casualties arrive after arduous journeys. Living mostly at the hospital and working tirelessly to save lives, Dr. Tom and his dedicated local staff provide crucial medical care in a region besieged by aerial bombings and devastated by war.
