The Montevideo Brief

In June 1804, during the premiere of Beethoven's Eroica Symphony, Captain Thomas Grey of His Majesty's Secret Service learns of Spain's covert agreement with France that threatens Britain's survival against Napoleon. A Spanish diplomat reveals that Spain's supposed neutrality is a guise to protect a treasure fleet laden with gold, set to depart for Madrid before declaring war on Britain. With the fate of the British Empire at stake, Grey must race across the Atlantic to intercept the treasure armada and alter the course of history.
