Tall Poppies

In Dorset during 1917, Livia Carr, a young woman from a respectable background, finds herself working as a maid after a tragic encounter leaves her pregnant. To secure legitimacy for her child, she marries Richard Sangster, a World War One veteran who has returned home disabled but soon faces his own mortality. As Livia grows to love Richard, his untimely death opens the door for a rekindling of her first romance with his friend, Denton Elliot, complicating her life further with the secret of her child's parentage.
