Newly retired ex-chief superintendent Fran Harman and her partner, Mark, take on the challenge of re-investigating a haunting unsolved crime for West Mercia police. Two decades earlier, an abandoned car was discovered on a remote forest road, with an ill baby found inside but no sign of the mother or elder sibling.
