Many a River

Set against the backdrop of West Texas in the tumultuous Civil War era, the Barfield family’s journey takes them from Arkansas sharecroppers to distant parts of the frontier. After a violent attack leaves the family shattered, brothers Jeffrey and Todd find themselves on divergent paths—one rescued and sheltered, the other taken captive by Comanche raiders—and become embroiled in the complex and violent conflict of their time. Their story explores themes of survival, loyalty, and the enduring bonds of family amidst chaos and division.
