In a land ravaged by war, Meka, a member of the nomadic Ba'Suon, returns home after a decade of exile to perform a crucial rite involving the king dragon of the Crown Mountains. As she seeks to restore balance, her act of compassion towards a captured dragon and a Kattakan soldier named Lilley thrusts her into a perilous journey fraught with conflict and danger.
