In the summer of 1921, newly successful Private Detective Posie Parker is invited to the opulent Boynton Hall by society beauty Lady Violet Boynton-Dale to investigate threats against her brother, explorer Alaric Boynton-Dale. As Posie navigates the grandeur and dark secrets of the estate, she encounters a mysterious novelist, Dame Ianthe Flowers, whose subsequent murder propels Posie into a web of intrigue that spans from the glamorous South of France to the enigmatic Egyptian tombs.
