In San Francisco, the theft of seventy-two guns from a police storage facility leads to a surge in murders, with the shooters seemingly unconnected aside from their shared weaponry. Mei Ling, the newly appointed head of the SFPD's Computer Forensics Team, discovers a hacking device linked to the storage, igniting her determination to solve the case.
