The Master of Puppets

In "Assassin's Duty," alien assassin Jakari embarks on a standard mission to a primitive world, only to discover a dangerous plot by the fascist Char Oram to recruit the locals as mindless soldiers. Meanwhile, Hayami Takahashi inadvertently finds herself in the midst of a civil war between rival factions of shape-shifting cyborg aliens while trying to rescue a woman from a kidnapping ring. When Jakari saves Hayami from a dire fate in a Char lab, the two unite to prevent a war that has been ongoing for nine thousand years.
