In a world where the land's energy grants extraordinary abilities, seventeen-year-olds train at an Academy, preparing for careers as warriors, magicians, and psychics—albeit with the obligation to fight for their king if needed. The story centers on Cleve Polken, a conflicted warrior haunted by the death of his parents and plagued by a fear of psychics, particularly as he grapples with a strong attraction to one of his roommates who possesses such powers. As a long-standing peace is threatened by an emerging war with savage reptilian creatures called Krepps, the lives of Cleve and his roommates become intertwined in ways they never expected, leading them to confront their deepest fears and crucial choices.
