The Emperor's Railroad

Set in a post-apocalyptic world a thousand years after a global war and a devastating plague, civilization has collapsed into a conflict-ridden landscape of city-states. Superstition reigns as machines and mutant creatures roam the land, while the enigmatic Dreaming Cities stand as silent watchtowers, claimed by the church to be sanctuaries of angels. Yet, mysterious and foreboding, these cities are rarely entered, and none return from within their confines.
