In the harsh winter of 1799 in Hugh's Lick, Ohio, tensions rise as food runs low and relations with the Delaware tribe deteriorate. Frontiersman Cole Seavey becomes the target of a terrifying creature that defies categorization, leading him into a perilous alliance with the young Delaware brave, Pakim, and John Chapman. As gruesome killings strike fear into the settlement, Cole grapples with his attraction to Pakim and the horrors of the elusive Wendigo, a monster that brings an impending sense of doom to their lives.
