Enemies

Late one evening, the town doctor Kirilov faces a heartbreaking tragedy with the loss of his young son to diphtheria. Grief-stricken, he is approached by a desperate stranger, Abogin, who requests his help to save his wife. Negotiating a tricky situation, the doctor agrees to accompany Abogin, only to encounter an unexpected twist at his destination that could profoundly impact their relationship.
