The Winter Horses

In the harsh winter of 1941 Ukraine, Max, the caretaker of an animal preserve, navigates the oppressive presence of the Nazis while guarding a profound secret—Kalinka, a girl who has lost everything except her connection to the rare Przewalski's horses that inhabit the park. As a brutal extermination campaign threatens these endangered animals, Kalinka embarks on a perilous journey across the frozen forest, determined to save the last two surviving horses and herself.
