Peeves

In "Peeves," debut author Mike Van Waes combines humor and heart in a magical coming-of-age story that echoes themes from "Gremlins" and "Inside Out." When Slim Pickings inadvertently releases a horde of annoying creatures representing his and others' pet peeves after being hit with an experimental anti-anxiety spray, he finds himself in a battle against his own inner turmoil. As these pesky manifestations threaten to overrun the town, Slim must confront his fears and team up with family and friends to reclaim control.
