The Halls of the Dead

Set in a gothic, necromancy-infused London in December 1849, this queer horror romance follows Irene Shallcross Haley, a devoted necromancer who battles the consequences of her forbidden craft. Her life takes a dark turn when her love, Agnes, is executed for witchcraft, prompting Irene to attempt a long-impossible resurrection with the aid of her undead husband, St. John. As she navigates the complexities of love and loss, and faces the dangerous attention of Sir Silas Underhill, Irene must confront the fine line between life and death, as well as the haunting transformation of her beloved Agnes.
