The Cardinal Divide

Cole Blackwater, once a rising star in Ottawa's environmental movement, now grapples with personal and professional decline, running a struggling consulting firm while facing the fallout from a devastating divorce and a troubled relationship with his daughter. When Peggy McSorlie of the Eastern Slopes Conservation Group recruits him to combat a mining project threatening the pristine Cardinal Divide, he seizes the chance for redemption. However, after the project's leader is murdered and a radical conservationist is implicated, Blackwater must race against time to clear the man's name and protect both his livelihood and the future of the land he once championed.
