In 1864 Washington, D.C., Joseph and his father's popular mind-reading act captivates the war-weary city, even drawing the attention of President Lincoln. When Joseph encounters Cassandra, a young girl with genuine precognitive abilities, she reveals alarming visions of a plot to assassinate the president.
