Jimmy the King

"Jimmy the King" chronicles the tumultuous four-decade saga of corruption within one of America's largest police departments, focusing on Jimmy Burke's rise to power following the 1979 murder of a thirteen-year-old boy. As Burke navigates his role, he mishandles critical investigations, including the notorious Gilgo Beach serial killings, ultimately leading to his downfall sparked by an unexpected scandal. This compelling narrative raises provocative questions about the true purpose of modern policing and the impact on the communities they serve.
