In "Empire of Ruins," Modo embarks on a perilous mission to explore ancient Egyptian ruins hidden in the Australian rainforest, rumored to house the dangerously mysterious God Face, which is said to drive anyone who gazes upon it mad. Joined by his friends Octavia and Mr. Socrates, as well as his childhood caregiver Mrs. Finchley, Modo must navigate both the temple’s treasures and the threats posed by the Clockwork Guild, who wield a new weapon of mechanical birds. The journey continues in "Island of Doom," where Modo seeks to rescue his parents from the Guild, racing across Europe and North America to thwart their plans for an unstoppable army.
