Matters of Doubt

Cal Claxton, a former Los Angeles prosecutor, seeks solace in small-town Oregon after his wife's tragic suicide, but his quiet life is disrupted when a homeless young artist named Picasso arrives, asking for help to solve his mother's murder. Initially reluctant, Cal is drawn to Picasso's determination and agrees to assist, only to find himself entangled in a murky investigation when Picasso is accused of murder himself. As Cal delves deeper, he confronts powerful adversaries and uncovers a web of deception and blackmail, putting both his life and the safety of an idealistic doctor named Anna at risk.
