Terns of Endearment

Meg joins her grandfather on a cruise where he is scheduled to give lectures, but their vacation takes a dark turn when they wake up stranded and a crew member announces that a woman has jumped overboard, leaving behind belongings and a note. The woman, a member of a writers' group, is both disliked and mysterious, raising questions about her fate. While the captain opts not to investigate until reaching shore, Meg's father believes foul play may be involved, prompting a race against time to uncover the truth before they can return to land.
