In the small town of Trafalgar, British Columbia, the ski season's final rush is shattered when Cathy Lindsay, a well-regarded high school teacher and mother, is surprisingly gunned down on a hiking trail, leaving her small dog as the sole witness. As Sergeant John Winters and Constable Molly Smith investigate the case, they confront the perplexing question of motive, delving into Cathy’s seemingly stable life and relationships.
