Cloudy in the West

In the Texas backlands of 1885, 12-year-old Joey Shipman grapples with the sudden death of his father, a mystery that sets him on a perilous path. Forced to live with his scheming stepmother and the dubious Blair Meacham, Joey's world spirals further into danger after the deaths of a friend and a near-fatal accident. Driven to escape, he unites with his estranged uncle Beau Shipman, a wayward drunk, alongside an outlaw, a San Antonio prostitute, and a sheepman, as they confront the menacing forces seeking to claim the Shipman farm.
