Daniel's mundane study session takes an unexpected turn when he hears a strange cry for help, pulling him through a portal into a fantastical realm filled with myth, magic, and impending war. There, he discovers a dying dragon and an imminent hatching egg, setting him on an extraordinary path as a dragon rider. With fame and glory within reach, he faces dark forces determined to end his journey, but he is not alone; a group of skilled female dragon riders, known as his Firebound, are ready to fight alongside him.
