The Dead Ringer

In this latest installment of M. C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin series, the quintessentially cranky detective finds herself entangled in a web of mystery and murder in the picturesque village of Thirk Magna. As the community prepares for the arrival of the charismatic Bishop Peter Salver-Hinkley, Agatha is hired to investigate the long-unsolved disappearance of his ex-fiancée, local heiress Jennifer Toynby.
