Between Two Worlds

In 1890 New Orleans, Camille Duval, a trained nurse and midwife, relocates to the city after the tragic loss of her parents, only to find herself facing the formidable Voodoo queen, Madam Lafleur. Hired by wealthy Vincent Rousseau to assist with his pregnant bride, Adelaide, Camille must navigate the tension between traditional medicine and the powerful allure of voodoo as she fights for the trust of her patient and the safety of the unborn child. Meanwhile, young physician Julian Charbonnet, initially reluctant to engage in what he perceives as women's affairs, becomes increasingly drawn into the conflict as he realizes both Camille and the baby are at risk.
