Ashes in My Mouth, Sand in My Shoes

In early 1960s Oslo, young Arvid Jansen navigates the complexities of childhood as he grapples with fears and the passage of time. Living with his factory-working father and cleaning mother, he experiences vivid imagery tied to significant events, from the sorrow of his grandfather's death to the haunting dread of impending nuclear war. As Arvid confronts both his nightmares and the realities of life, he begins to gain a deeper understanding of the world around him.
