The House on the Borderland

"The House on the Borderland" is a supernatural horror novel by William Hope Hodgson, set in the eerie village of Kraighten, Ireland. During a fishing holiday, Tonnison and Berreggnog discover the ruins of a peculiar house and the deteriorating journal of the Recluse, who documents his experiences there alongside his sister and dog, Pepper. As he chronicles the strange events unfolding around the house, the Recluse describes a chilling vision of a vast arena, known as the "Plain of Silence," populated by mythological beasts and terrifying demons.
