The Children of the New Forest

Set in England in 1647, as King Charles is imprisoned and civil war rages, the four Beverley children find themselves orphaned and in peril. With their mother deceased and their father killed fighting for the King, they now face a grave threat as Cromwell's soldiers approach to burn down their home—children trapped in a tumultuous and dangerous time.
