Big Mike, Little Mike

After being discharged from military service, Michael Grifka takes a long detour on his way to his parents' house in Montana, grappling with the challenges of reintegration into civilian life and the strained relationship with his father. His journey takes a surprising turn when he is ambushed and left in a cornfield, only to be rescued by a young boy who believes he may turn into a zombie. Michael is taken in by Shae MacDiarmid, a resilient widow who manages her farm while caring for her two sons. As he bonds with the family, he faces a dilemma between his growing attachment to them and his responsibility to return home.
