The Haunted Bookshop

In "The Haunted Bookshop," set in Brooklyn at the close of World War I, young advertising man Aubrey Gilbert visits a unique bookstore owned by the passionate Roger Mifflin. Rather than featuring supernatural elements, the story explores the profound influence of literature, as Mifflin shares insights on the wisdom that books impart. Excited by the connection between Mifflin and his firm's client, Mr. Chapman, Gilbert becomes intrigued by how Mifflin is set to educate Chapman's daughter, Titania, as an assistant in the shop.
