The Shadow of the Tower

In "Lady Margaret Pole," the last of the Plantagenets recounts her life as the daughter of the duke of Clarence and niece of King Edward IV. Born into privilege yet cursed with an unfortunate fate, she reflects on her superior claim to the English throne compared to the Tudor dynasty. Despite her lifelong loyalty to Henry VII and his son, Henry VIII, Margaret's existence is overshadowed by the looming presence of the tower.
