In a future ten years after a tense peace with the NeHaw, former battlefield commander Jake Thomas finds himself struggling as an interstellar bureaucrat and a father to a rowdy group of teens. When strange occurrences in the Human/NeHaw Neutral Zone and mysterious disappearances in a small Arizona town ignite tensions, both Humans and NeHaw are quick to blame each other.
