Out of the Wilderness

In this engaging tale, rancher Peter Dunstan seeks to expand his land by purchasing Dr. Henry Morgan's ranch, retaining the doctor's ward, Sandy Sweyn, a man with a remarkable ability to communicate with animals. After Sandy successfully gentles a difficult gelding, Dunstan bets on a race, only to lose when Sandy's unassuming mare, Cleo, triumphs. Rather than acknowledging Sandy's gifts, Dunstan attempts to exploit them, resulting in personal misfortunes that culminate in Sandy's banishment to the mountains. When Dunstan finds himself in dire need of Sandy's unique talents, he resorts to trickery to bring him back.
