After narrowly avoiding financial disaster, Lawrence dedicates himself to assisting Holo in her quest to find her long-lost homeland in the North. As they traverse the countryside in search of a village he fears may no longer exist, Lawrence grapples with the precarious balance between business and his growing feelings for the enchanting Wisewolf. Complications arise when a rival merchant becomes interested in Holo, prompting Lawrence to question the true nature of their partnership.
