"Flares Up" chronicles the inspirational journey of firefighter Paul Hopkins, who, after surviving a brain hemorrhage, sets out to conquer the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge alongside entrepreneur Phil Pugh. Together, they brave the treacherous ocean in a 20-ft wooden boat, facing tumultuous storms, equipment failures, and personal tribulations that test their resolve and relationships. As they navigate 3,000 miles of challenging waters, they confront deep questions about bravery and sacrifice, ultimately emerging as transformed individuals after 70 days at sea.
