Will and Alice Harding seek a fresh start in their new countryside home with their seven-year-old son, Toby. However, as Toby begins to exhibit troubling changes in voice, appearance, and demeanor, the couple realizes that traditional medicine cannot help. Desperate for answers, they turn to folk magic in hopes of uncovering and combating the mysterious force that threatens their son.
