Lilly, a novice school teacher, finds herself unexpectedly chaperoning a backpacking trip over the challenging Spider Gap glacier while secretly bringing her purse-dog along due to a lack of childcare. The trip includes her energetic sixth-grade students and a charming ski instructor who challenges her organizational skills.
