The River Is Dark

In a small Mississippi River town, two married couples are found brutally murdered, leaving only a young boy—a survivor—who lies comatose and describes the assailant as a “monster.” Former homicide detective Liam Dempsey, whose estranged brother was a victim, becomes embroiled in the investigation as a suspect and is determined to clear his name. However, as he navigates local politics and the victims' dark secrets, he realizes that the relentless murderer may soon target him as well, escalating the race for justice amidst escalating violence.
