The Air We Breathe

In the fall of 1916, as America grapples with the decision to enter the European war, life in a secluded Adirondack community remains largely unaffected, focusing instead on the treatment of tubercular patients. Wealthy individuals reside in private cottages while immigrant charity patients fill a public sanatorium. Amid this backdrop, an enterprising patient starts a discussion group that spirals into tragedy and betrayal, ultimately bringing the war's consequences home and stirring anti-immigrant sentiments.
