A Last Supper of Queer Apostles

A Last Supper of Queer Apostles is a powerful collection of essays by acclaimed Latin American queer writer Pedro Lemebel, now available in English for the first time. Through inventive crónicas that blend memoir, fiction, and history, Lemebel highlights the experiences of marginalized communities during Chile's AIDS epidemic and the tumult of the Pinochet dictatorship. His work celebrates the vibrancy and resilience of sexual minorities while infusing political urgency with playful absurdism, making a significant contribution to the discourse on identity and resistance. This Penguin Classic not only honors Lemebel’s subversive genius but also brings visibility to a generation of voices that have fought against societal erasure.
