In the backdrop of a protracted Mexican civil war, hotel mogul Roger Rudd hopes to reconnect with his estranged son, Michael, through a lavish hunting trip. Their journey takes a perilous turn when their helicopter crashes in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains, forcing them and fellow passengers, including feisty graduate student Tina Echevarria, to navigate treacherous terrain. Led by the combat-skilled Irishman Seamus O'Malley, they must evade guerrilla fighters and confront the terrifying consequences of a long-hidden catastrophe: the resurgence of genetically engineered dinosaurs believed to be extinct since the fall of Pangaea, the animal park that once housed them.
